Behavioural or Misalignment?

Horses experiencing structural misalignment may show both physical and behavioural changes, such as:

  • Uneven or shortened stride

  • Difficulty coming off the forehand

  • Reluctance to pick up or change leads

  • Cross-firing

  • Falling down, stumbling, trouble picking up feet

  • Bucking

  • Refusal to jump

  • Arena sourness or gate issues

  • Uneasiness during saddling

  • Biting, or cinch sensitivity.

How can we help?

  • Structural Bodywork

Over time, a horse’s body can develop compensations from uneven movement, saddle fit, hoof balance, or injuries. These compensations can cause tension, restricted motion, and imbalance through the spine and musculoskeletal system.

Through gentle, hands-on techniques that release tight fascia and help restore natural alignment, we support freer movement, improved posture, and overall comfort and performance.

  • Acupressure & Massage

When a horse’s body falls out of natural alignment, it can create pressure or restriction around the nerves that influence nearby muscle groups. Over time, these restrictions may lead to tension, soreness, and limited range of motion, making the tissues more prone to strain.

During your horse’s session, we assess key stress points - the junctions where tendons, ligaments, and muscles interact - to identify points of tension or imbalance.

Using gentle mobilization and soft-tissue release techniques, we help restore freer movement and support the horse’s natural ability to rebalance and heal.

  • Saddle Fitting

All of our clients receive a complementary saddle fitting consultation as part of their session.

A poorly fitting saddle is one of the most common contributors to structural imbalance and discomfort in the horse.

‍By ensuring a proper fit, we help set you and your horse up for success - supporting comfort, freedom of movement, and peak performance.

  • Collaborative Care & Balance

A horse’s well-being depends on more than just muscles and movement. During each session, we assess how various factors may be influencing your horse’s comfort and performance.

We work collaboratively with your veterinarian, farrier, and other equine professionals to support lasting results - maintaining comfort, harmony, and peak performance.

Gentle, intuitive techniques and natural support methods are used where appropriate to encourage relaxation, recover, and overall balance within the body.
